Aloe has soothing, demulcent and hydrating actions. Zinc is an essential trace element with an important role in wound healing.

Primary prevention of disease is vital in dairy herds to improve disease resistance and includes nutritional, environmental, housing, equipment, overall hygiene and disease management. Regular inspection of udders and prevention of damaged skin is highly recommended to avoid disease such as Udder Cleft Dermatitis (UCD) and mastitis.

UCD is a common inflammatory dermatological condition of the udder skin in dairy cows, localized at the junction of the udder and the abdomen or between the udder halves. Lesions can be slow and difficult to heal. The condition can range from a superficial dermatitis to extensive wounds seriously affecting the health of the animal.
